Visas in Barbados

Does anyone have any personal information about renewing or applying for Visas in Barbados?

The family from Maine with the restaurant, are going there on March 1st and would like some feedback on what to expect. Laura has found it hard to get on the forums so I said I would ask for her.

Hi Zoe,
We got a 5 year renewal last year (March 2009) in Barbados. I would be happy to let them know what to expect. We have a B and B (in Maine also)
Basically we were only asked a couple of questions...what were total sales, and how many employees did we have. (We have 3 part time, seasonal staff) They had all the documents prior to our arrival, and had basically made their decision beforehand. We found the interviewer to be relaxed, pleasant and more interested in how we liked Maine, and what made us move there!

We have just renewed in December and got 5 years also. All very relaxed and no problems, no questions whatsoever (except to my 5yr old about what grade he was in at school), the guy took us to the window and told us to go to the courier to pay. I even had to ask him how long we had got.

Has Laura got her appointment? Last I heard they were going to Canada (as they have to leave by 21st Jan) then to Barbados later. I know two couples here in VT and one in NH that did the Barbados route - all three got 5 years - two make very little profit. I do hope that they get sorted - it seems all wrong the way they've been treated.
