i planning call my parents on B2 visa.but my father had a overstay 13 years ago nad my mom has never applied for a US vis an time.so there are some issues for my fathers visa.so should they apply together for B2 visa or not.
if both of them apply together can they approve ones' (mother's) visa and reject other(fathers )visa.

If they had a previous overstay and are visitin on a B2 visa to their child in the US they will IMHO both be refused a visa as the authorities will believe their intent to be to stay permanently in the US They would have to show very strong ties to theri home country

They are individual applications.
Sounds like your mother has the better chance.

how long did you overstay. I know the US can ban you from entering the US from 3 to 10 years, If it were me I would apply as individuals and say the reason for your trip is you are looking to purchase a home to rent out and or buy a business

My father overstayed for 23 month. mother never visited US before.is it possible that even if they visit for the interview together their application is considered individual???and they have a reason to reject my father but willl they reject my mother too as they have to reject my father visa???
