Congratulations to the last Alexander:

Not trying to be cryptic but as many of you know I work most of the time for Alexander Holiday Homes. I work for a few other smaller companies but most of the time I manage the Alexander’s marketing. It took my wife and I 4 years to get our Green Cards so it shocked us to hear that for some others it could take 5 times that lenght of time.

In any case, today was an eventful day in the office. The last of the Alexander children got her green cards today. The family first moved here in 1981 and slowly but surely over the years the parents and children secured their green cards. The last and eldest daughter stayed back in the UK and married over 20 years ago. As a result she joined the family in America a few years after the rest of them moved here. Somewhere around 1989. It took many thousands of dollars but finally their visas were “ managed “ by a professional immigration lawyer. The green cards arrived today and that was a great joy around the office. Cost about $ 65 K for the daughter , her husband and children but they say it was well worth hiring a professional. From parent through all the children and grandchildren it took 25 years for all of them to get their green cards. Now that is what you call patience !
