Area of Florida

hello everyone! has anyone ever been to the area in Florida called Boca Raton? can anyone tell me anything about it please? is it a nice place , i.e. much crime etc? any responses would be really helpful, thanks alot!

Hello Jorge,

I am living 30 minutes North but before I bought in WPB I researched Boca extensively. Boca Raton is mainly gated communities. Real Estate there is very expensive and if you buy into a gated community you have to take into account you are buying into an association that tells you how to live and they have more power than the mayor. Boca Raton has many rules you dont see anywhre else (ie businesses are not allowed to erect tall signes, you will have a hard time finding a gas station for that reason). As far as crime goes Palm Beach County is no different than any other county lots of crime. Boca Raton has a lot of A rated public schools.

Lived there for 2 years, didn't find it a very friendly place - beautiful (well it was before Wilma hit), classy, lots of money, lots of old people

I live a bit north of there in Vero Beach and only been thorugh it a couple of times - looks very nice and expensive...other than that dont really know!
