Dustin's Discover Scuba attraction business plan

Dustin and I are working on a business plan and wondered whether any property management company or villa owers would be willing to help if interested in promoting this attraction and to write a letter to Planet Divers Ltd., Offering this service to their holidaymakers and owners subject to Dustin's E visa approval

The business plan is to include an attraction that comes to the short term rental homes for an afternoon of try dive/discover scuba and pool party. As you cannot eat before a dive we are planning to follow on with a traditional an afternoon tea party.

All served by uniformed staff, sandwiches, scones, strawberrys and cream etc.,


Some of you may know that I have a UK tour operator company and Flordia property management company and think the idea of an attraction coming to holidaymakers instead of queing in line for hours is a brillant idea and am willing to promote

Think the scuba diving/afternoon teas sound great. Will you be catering for birthday parties adults and children?

Can anyone book these or do they have to book the whole package? i.e. can expats already over here book this type of gathering or does it have to be a new holiday booking?

Keep up the good work Susie and Dustin you are both doing a great job. Think everything will be O.K. keep smiling. By the way Dustin have a safe trip home hope to see you again soon with the family.

Brilliant idea, Just spoken to Ted and if you need a hand Dustin Ted is more than willing to help - obviously on days that he isn't working himself, but I am an Advanced Diver and could help out a bit, hey I could even do a bit of waitressing after if that is what is needed. Ted and I need something to focus on right now - both very very down so give it your best shot!!

Dustin has been given me a couple of lessons and I am totally hooked, cant wait to get fully trained

Yes, will be catering for all sorts of events, birthday parties, christmas parties, new year parties. Special occasions such as 18th, 21st, 40th 50th etc., birthday surprises. There are legal requirements such as, no children under 10 years, or anyone with serious health problems. All will be published on expatsvoice once we are sure Dustin has the written support he needs towards his business plan

Dustin and I will be seeing the accountant tomorrow as there is nothing to stop Dustin trading in the usa as soon as possible. He already has most things in place such as company name, insurance.

Once Dustin gets back to the uk he has to start working on brochures for the rental homes sorting a usa phone line and other bits and bobs. Hopefully he will be taking bookings starting around July.

Can any property management company pm me if they would be willing to confirm in writing they would promote this attraction in the home they manage by either posting here or pm me so I can give more information

Also thought of a 2 day weekend break to the keys if we can get a coach load of people at the same time we could arrange swimming with the Dolphins.


I know of two places to swim with the Dolphins in the keys so could combine a package. Maybe we can arrange Expats voice weekend away, special rates, goes without saying.

Anyone can book this special attraction whether on holiday or residing in the USA

If people wish to book to learn to scuba and quailfy the Dustin will also be offering training courses.

Dustin wishes to open a scuba diving shop in the Disney area in the future to sell all the equipment but in the meantime people will be able to purchase most equipment on line once.

Poor Dustin has been so busy trying to get many issues sorted out and is now beging to see a small light at the end of the tunnel and more importantly is now focusing on the future yet not dwelling on the past.

I have seen such an improvement since he first arrived at my home a couple of weeks ago. I know his wife and daughter are proud of Dustin but more so now he is dusting himself off, picking himself up and ready to start a new visa applicatiuon and life in the Disney area

Dustin does have a uk web site but needs a new .com web site for the USA company. He is flying back to the UK tomorrow but hopefully be back in the usa in about 3 weeks

It does seem that there has been a keen interest so Dustin and now has a lot of work to do when he goes back to the UK producing flyers, brochures etc.

For the time being we are looking for letters from property management companies confirming that they are willing to promote discover scuba/ afternoon tea so he can submit with his E business plan

Thanks for all your support guys those that have offered it, I truly need every bit of help on this now and will be making postings as to the help and support required. We now need this to work more that ever as everything here is now forcing us to continue with our dreams. (Due to my job loss, and putting our house on the market.)

At last I am starting to feel the fight back in me and am so determined to get this to work.

Just a thought dont know if you can, but attaching to the cruise ships!!!

When I stayed on St Thomas (was back in the 80's of course), I knew and dived with V.I.D.S (virgin island dive school) they offered try dives or snuba tries to the cruise ships that came in !!

How would it be with insurance and such to look into that arm?

I am waiting for the Keys weekend trips to swim and dive with the dophines , as I am almost trained to scuba by Dustin, he is a great teacher

There are a few boat operators doing it at the moment, but getting a people on thier boat isnt so easy. Organising a 12 seated minibus with eager snorkellers to do the 2 hour trip from orlando, could be a nice little earner. A little bit of in-pool training and safty/what to do and not do while snorkelling dvd played on the bus on way. Im pretty sure you could strike a deal with the boat owners so its a one time payment with lunch thrown in.

They make it as hard as possible for us, even those with Green Cards, Christ I was put through hell, even with one, so what is the attraction, especially in this day and age. I have friends who went to America with mega money - they are now broke! My view only, I'm sure there are many who love it wouldn't have it any other way, but why put yourself through years of hell on E-2 when you are giving all you have only to be treated as a second class citizens - just doesn't make sense to me. There are many other places in the world who don't treat you as sh.. and would welcome the likes of Dustin with open arms.

For his and his families peace of mind, look at different places who would not give him the sh.. America does and move on. Sorry only my view, but I know what we have been through, know just what he is going through and he and his family deserve better.

I have to say both my parents and mother in law get taken to the US citizen gate when they come to the USA...as of yet maybe my family have been lucky...we still worry every time that someone may not get in..but to be honest nearly everyone is to ill to travel now..so that will no longer be a problem for us...
