Hi All,

Not sure if I am posting in the right section, just wanted to ask if anyone has found a multi region playing DVD in any off the stores here ??
I know I can order online, however do like to shop in stores for electrical stuff.

Looking forward to playing my Ricky Gervais- Animals DVD, once I get the multi region.

Also, has anyone seen The Catherine Tate show ? Its hilarious !! ( in my opinion)

Anyway, let me know on the DVD front- if not anyone know of any companies that convert ?

Have a good weekend

Hi Katya,

We have 2 multi region DVD players. One is a Phillips DVD727 which we bought from Target $80 and then pulled a code to hack it from one of these DVD hack websites. http://www.dvd365.net/?hacks.htm is a good site to pull some codes. Apparently, Phillips are one of the very few players that have a built in PAL/NTSC converter and so you just need the code. The code took all of 1 minute to do by pressing a sequence of numbers on the remote control. It has not let us down in over 3 years. The other multi region DVDplayer we have is a JVC XVSA602 which we bought from http://www.220-electronics.com/ Cost was around $200. Both units have been very reliable alhough I have to say that the JVC player is better quality.

Hope this helps.

HI David,

Is the DVD player from Target already region compatible ? If so , why do you need the code ? Excuse my ignorance, however Im not that compatible myself when it comes to electronics :o

For humour, we have purchased many DVDs from the UK (sitcoms etc) and always enjoying watching them. I have to say that the British sence of humour is the benchmark in my opinion.
