Hi all

I've spoke to Susie and I'm good to post on here.

My Hubby to be and I have just opened up a British Food website

www.littletasteofhome.com

We can supply all the stuff you might miss about the food back home. Plus Marmite :) . We offer postage at cost to ensure a decent cup of tea won't cost you the earth, and welcome payment in dollars. By signing up to the newsletter you will receive special discounts and subsciber only deals. Postage is FREE for orders over $100.

We expect to add new products every month, and will be offering recipes alongside the HP Sauce, Mushy Peas & Cadburys Chocolate.

And we'd like to offer active (10+ posts) members of Expat's Voice a 10% discount on their orders. Just quote your Member ID when ordering.

(and by supporting our site you're also supporting our future visa application, so be generous!)

Hi Quick question

If we want a special order that is not on your web site can we e-mail you for a quote ?

For example I just fancy some refreshers? could you supply them?

Well done - good prices and I especially like the free postage idea over $100. That's what puts a lot of these sites out of the price range.

Now if you could just add Robinsons Pink Grapefruit squash, I'd be totally happy!!

We are about to visit England, so will stock up on our chocolate and biscuits then, but I will definitely order from you in the future.

Cheers
Zoe

Good Luck on your new venture.

Just wonder if US Customs will allow the food products to be shipped.
Please dont "jump at my post " and tear me apart for speaking my mind but I bring this concern because US customs are very serious on Food products and plants/ pets to be brought in the country without having certification labels on them.
Just a thought.
Wish you all the best and hope you covered that concern already.

The other sites who offer British food send their stuff over - we have used 2 different ones in the past - so there must be a way of this happening.

I'm sure it's something that this company have looked into.

Oberon,
Please could you find viscount biscuits. I am paying a small fortune at Publix for them. I will check the full name next time I am there. Also Haribo Sourmix, I would pay a small fortune but I can't even find them.

Next year you may want to consider Easter eggs to the list. They don't have proper ones. Also my friends complain about the lack of advent calendars with choccies in for thier kids ( and me).

Just read on the mail Online that they have just made the last bottle of HP Sauce in the UK. It will now be made in the Netherlands.

That's not very British!!!

Hi everyone!

Wow!! Thanks for all the great replies!!

Yes, we'vve checked with our local chamber of commerce export department, and as far as they're aware there's no additional paperwork until we start shipping containers over, and put it this way guys, if your reactions and enthusiasms are anything to go by that will be happening really quickly!!

Yes, if you have any requests, just bob me a PM, or send us a mail customerservices@littletasteofhome.com. I'm just checking all the stuff you've been asking for, and I'm pretty sure we can get it all! HP Sauce is available in 2 kilo catering packs, but we didn't list them as we figured no-one likes it *that* much. Obviously we were wrong!

Seriously guys, you've made us really happy by showing us so much support. It's really heartening, especially as we're so new!

Oh, and we can still get easter eggs, but thought we were too late to put them on the site, so if you want some, let me know!

2 kilo is probably not convenient to use - but the 500ml bottles are perfect and I'd take half a dozen at a time! If you get catering pack of the Balti paste then I'd be interested in that - when I do get some and make a curry for our American friends they love it!
