Of course. Judges are unelectable, but people deem them suitable to pass judgement/sentence on people. I don't see the fact that they are unelectable as that they are somehow illegimate.

And anyway, most of the Eurocrats that Red Ken is so in favour of are unelected, so see how he likes it now.

I'd like to see him out of office as I really hate him, but I suppose all things considered it was a fair punishment. Not that the remarks were made in his private time is an excuse for racism, of course...
