Not sure if this is the right place but my son is leaving his shop class....car body repair top of the class....
The poor schooling your kids get in the USA is one of my fav subjects...but with all the troubles my sons has had over the last 2 years he's come out fine....

He will get lots of collage offers now....but he is thinking of working in a car body repair shop this summer ....and then maybe doing a post grad at his High School....where he has in car body that is... the best teacher in the US if not the world......:)

We went for car body because of the high pay and the fact you can't take the job out the country...he is the best they have had in car spraying and he is hoping to work on classic cars in the future....

Thats good news. Do you get one of those car bumper stickers? My son made the Presidents Honor Roll at college last year but wouldnt get one cos he thought it was naff!

Hey he could end up doing all those cars in the Old Town Cruise!!

My son (only 13 now) wants to go into to car mechanics. I have totally encouranged him in his decision for exactly the same reason that you have pointed out - you can't take the work out of the country.

I hope your son goes on to great things - will we see him on Pimp my Ride?? My son loves to watch that show.

The school he is at has gone down hill really bad in the last 2 years....after having a new headmaster....this is the first year tons of kids will not graduate....it was one of the best schools in the area....with a waiting list of 250 all the time....there are only 200 kids in the school...its such a pity that a bad headmaster can bring down a school so quickly...:(
