Do people feel more healthy here than they did in the UK..
Pollen is a big problem for me ...one I never had that much in the UK...if you have a problem with pollen in England..be careful moving anywhere near trees..our house in MA is covered with yellow pollen this time of year...both inside and out...funny enough my husband who had really bad hayfever in England..gets nothing here...
Aches and pains can also be bad if you are thinking of moving to a Northern State..take that into account if you are older...
Apart from the odd upset tummy...I always feel fine in FL...one of the reasons I would like to spend more time there..

I dont get colds and flu In Florida as often as I did in the UK. When I do, I catch them off some English guest or homeowner who has arrived in Florida coughing and sneezing, I am guessing all the cold and wet lowers your immune system and makes you susceptible to germs. Also my son was an asthmatic since age 5 in the UK, and bad too, on steroid inhalers, and that has cleared up completely in the Floridian climate.

My kids were asthmatic..we cleared them of that in England after finding out our flat had mold...you could not see it or smell it...we get mold here on Cape...all Cape homes have it because its so humid here..but the kids seem OK with it..I get problems with leaf mold..when you think that I live in near enough a forest you can see how badly that hits me when we do the spring clear up...
I only get a cold if we have English visiters..but I have a lot of trouble with my ears and throat which is the most common problems to do with health on the Cape..

I do suffer with hay fever, but never in Florida or Spain. When we lived in London I would start to take anti hystamines in February!! Since moving to Bournemouth with all its pine trees not so bad, I took my first one yesterday :)

My hayfever started to get bad after being in the US about 4 years..and my daughter stated getting hay fever this year...
Luck enough its been raining here for a few days on and off..so most of the pollens now washed away...most years we have to wash our house down 3 times a day for a few weeks...because we get little rain from May to Oct..I have grass in my garden that is unheard off...:)
Hi
I had a nasty motor bike accident in the UK and damaged my leg quite badly. My leg swelled so badly and my leg is only held together by musels. I cannot remember what the doctor said the name was of the damaged caused was c but it is simular to what footballers get
Am still a young man but the continuing pain in the UK was terrible especially in the winter. Now I live in sunny Florida I am fine and the pain has disapeared. Can even water ski, golf and do so much more
Great stuff

I have suffered with arthritis for 20 years, again never have any pain when am in Florida, even during hurricane season. My doctor has advised me to move to a sunnier climate if I can!! So lets see what we can do, eh doc ?

Hi
I have a very painful bad back due to many falls from my horse whilst in the UK
Must say I cannot think of having any since moving to the Sunshine state even when it pours cats and dogs

I too have bad knee pains when in the UK but here, they do not bother me, I wish I would take the sun home to England.

My son and I both had asthma in the UK, rarely get an attack here. The only time we need inhalers is going north (esp Cape Cod and Boston) and going back to the UK!

LOL Kris. We have friends with a house on the Cape so we go up there sometimes to take a break. It is a gorgeous place. You are lucky to live there.
