Hey can you list places you been to around orlando area... NOT THEME PARKS!!!

We now getting time at weekends and would like to know of other places to go that are interesting etc and remeber we have a misery 14 year old ha ha...

Orange County Historic Centre in downtown Orlando - very interesting interactive museum of Central Florida. Educational for adults (learn more about how your adopted 'home' area developed from a wild cowtown to the #1 tourist destination). Great for kids on wet days !

Orlando Science Centre, north of downtown at Princeton. Activity scientific museum with built-in Omnimax (hemispheric) cinema showing travel, thrill and scientific movies. Great for kids too !

Blue Springs state park and the Crystal River, particularly in winter for the manatees, we saw loads there in February.
Kelly Park near Apopka. Hire an inner tube and float about, just like the Lazy River Ride.
Bok Tower near Lake Wales, beautiful monument, lovely gardens, very nice and cheap restaurant, great views.
Cant fault St Augustine.

The St John's river is nice , there is an old house , picnic area and water so clear, there is a nature trail too, peaceful afternoon out
