Found out they make English pasties in the USA yesterday...can't remember the State now but its a mining place where the people had come over from Cornwall at some time...a guy at our house yesterday told us he had pasties at both places last year...Cornwall and where ever this other place is...and they are the same...

Julie 4 and 20 pasty company is whom I was recommending but did not want to tread on your toes
The Posners who own the shop are great people and work hard to make a good product

What flour do you use, find it is different than we have in the uk

Its not just the flour thats different ( cant make decent chappattis or naan bread with the stuff over here - looks like semolina?). Haven't been able to find decent sausages or sausage meat - unless you go to a "British" store and then pay an extortionate amount because it has to be imported! I also find it virtually impossible to get lamb - its all beef and chicken!:(
My daughter makes wonderful cakes though - so the art of cooking is not quite dead yet in my house at least :D

Jimmy Dean makes a great sausage meat.. you just need to add spices...

I buy lamb in Sams Club.
I also make my own sausage rolls - I use the Pepperidge Farm puff pastry and the Jimmy Dean sausagemeat. As Kriz says, it's the best stuff to use - some of the own brand is a bit bland.
I'll try and make some for the next committee meeting or maybe Susie's party.
