Thought this would be a good place to plug live theatre in Lakeland!
We lived here quite a while before we even knew there was a Community Theatre in downtown Lakeland. They are wonderful - called Pied Piper Players.
Cards on the table I am employed part time by them, mainly because once our kids got involved we virtually lived there as volunteers and they offered me a job a couple of years ago.
The new season is coming up in October but right now you must try and see West Side Story.
My son is playing Action and my daughter is running the sound board.
All the actors are volunteers but don't let that fool you, it is a great production. Many of the kids are at Harrison Arts Centre, and it is going to be a lot of fun to watch - (I get to see rehearsals - so I know)!
So if you are at a loose end July 13- 23 come on down - call the box office 603 7529 for tickets $16 adults and $10 kids under 21.
