Well the title says it all.
As you will see from my previous posts my family and I have been looking at ways of moving to the States for many years and in 2008 we were finally sponsored by my wife's sister for our Greencards. All we had to do then was wait at least 10 years for those to become available.
Anyway 12 months ago we hit on hard times, due to the company I worked for being in a poor financial state I was made redundant and after a few months and a few interviews I thought I would never get a job.
Then bingo, out of the blue 3 came at once and I had a choice. But one of the offers that were made to me was just too good to turn down, the package was just fantastic and the new site they were opening was only 20 minutes away. I won’t bore you with the details but they are an internet shopping company founded in the States that are growing faster than Tesco.
So as time went on I loved my job more and more and it crossed my mind that maybe in 7 years time when we finally had our Greencards I could transfer over to one of our sites in the US.
Well to cut a long story short we have a new site being built near my wife's family and I can transfer over this year on a L1 visa!
We haven’t decided yet on if I should take the role as we have lots to think and talk about, this is something we had dreamed of doing for many years then suddenly out of the blue it has happened and our heads are spinning!

If there is any advice or pointers both good and bad I am all ears.
