As an owner of a dry cleaners - I found this story a must read. Thankfully the lawsuit was lost by the plaintiff - otherwise cleaners everywhere would have been in panic mode. I can understand that customers can get frustrated at lost or mislaid garments - but be reasonable. We try very hard to make sure we check everything - but you cannot take out the human factor, and mistakes can and will happen and to expect this kind of compensation for a pair of trousers is utter lunacy.

Given that the South Koreans were awarded costs, I guess this pain in the ass Judge has now lost his shirt on the whole affair.
I was glad to read that they are now trying to get hime disbard for what he tried to do.
Good job too.

I'm so glad to see this outcome...Americans are so sue happy...I have sued before...the bus company after a bus crashed into the back of my car..near enough breaking my neck...I did get a goodly sum...but I was sick for 2 years...and partly disabled for many more...with a young baby it was no joke....you don't sue for lost pants...you ask for the cost of replacement...
