View Full Version : Anybody know a TV troubleshooter?
I have a 42" Samsung Plasma HD TV and looking for someone to help with a problem I'm having.
On some (but not all) channels, the picture doesn't fill the screen. I've tried following the instructions in the manual for re-sizing the picture, but I'm getting nowhere.
Does anybody know where I could get help with this?
Thanks

Hi
Sorry Tina, no idea except put some surgical tape around the screen so the picture fits, lol

ha ha Kitty!!! Why not try phoning the Technical Department of Samsung, although sometimes these people can be as much help as a chocolate teapot, but you never know.
We got in touch with Sony re taking our tv back with us as we only bought it earlier this year, they said we could get things to convert it but that was about it - unless somebody on here can advise then we will just take it back and hope we get some help over there.

I have the same problem with mine when its in HD...normal mode its fine...DVD its fine....I've noticed a lot of the rental homes have the same problem...I did ask the cable company about it and was given tons of different answers...from its your TV...to we can't give full screen on HD yet...
We did make the screen letter box through the cable box...

On ours (Panasonic) there a button on the remote that says "aspect" you can scroll through this to get full, zoom, wide etc..
