Hi Steve
Thank you for the link
I managed to buy Zoe and myself a copy of the paper. God, do I look dreadful but you look good, so does Alan Oaklely, Lin and Dave
This story is just the begining as Kelly has said she will report and follow my sons case to conclusion
The story in the paper seems a lot longer than what is on the web site
My thanks goes out to Kelly for her excellent reporting skills

If I may make a comment on Kelly's article, which I presume is to be ongoing.
Whilst she highlights the fact that we are on non-immigrant visas, can't vote and in many cases have sunk our life savings into our businesses, to the american reader it may tug at the heartstrings, but means precisely nothing because it does not impact on them.
I think what Kelly ought to be emphasising is the fact that these business are expected to create permanent jobs for US citizens, but that no matter how many the E2 Visa holder creates, they themselves are only ever considered temporary. That I believe would mean something to the average Joe.
Our plight is being reda against the backdrop of the bleating 12,000,000 and the minority activist groups that have latched onto them. We don't want to be lumped in the same group.
Unlike this group, which takes up jobs that US citizens 'could' do (the fact they choose not to do them is irrrelevant in the argument), we are not taking jobs , we are creating jobs. The exact opposite of what the 12,000,000 are doing.
That I think the add credibility to our case is what Kelly ought to be highlighting in future articles. Maybe, the group should be identifying an E2'r in the group that falls into such a category - created a lot of permanent jobs, but still temporary. I am sure we would get the average Joe sympathy then.

So go to the blog version - and send Kelly a comment as per the above. I am sure that she will take it on board - particularly if you can find someone who has created such permanent employment but remains temporary themselves.
I am sure that she would love to have that kind of a story !

Hi
Well I had a long call from Kelly today.
As most of you are aware I lost my dear husband recently and the past few days have been truly dreadful.
I told Kelly that yesterday my eldest son and I were looking for a final resting place for my husbands ashes and that my son was taking pictures of plots and e-mailing them to my son (in UK at present) The son who was denied a B visa to help me with probate and find a final resting place.
She told me she is still working hard on a new story about my sons case, other cases and expats voice and to watch out for this weekend's publication
If not in this weekend it will be because she is still working on it, so please keep watching out for the new story.

Hi
I have read with interest your article in the paper on Expatsvoice, and was horrified to read the statement regarding Sue Ward. I have known Sue for many years also her late husband and sons. I feel for her at this time as only 12 months ago I lost my father whilst on vacation here in the U.S. I have a step mum with me also a married step brother and a 12 year old step brother. In fact my married step brother went to school with one of Sues' sons, (same age). I know that my brother is also feeling sad at this time, knowing what we have both been through. It is hard to find true friends at this time.
On behalf of my family, I wish her and her family well. and hope that we can remain friends, I know from past experience from my step mum, that she needs some one now.
