Hi
Here is the posting I made recently. Kelly is on our side and needs us to support her.
Hello Kelly
To me this is the begining of the end of what is supposed to be a special relationship between the UK and the USA. There is none just in the minds of Bush and Blair
Visitors from the UK already face high air fares, unfriendly welcome when entering the US from jobs worth immigration officers.
The mere fact that the American embassy is saying they have no plans to get rid of the VWP means it is on the cards
As you know my son was denied a visa by the American embassy in London to visit me in Florida to help me find a final resting place for my husbands ashes and assist with probate.
If the WVP is replaced by the need for a visitors visa my son would never be able to even vist me!! how welcoming is that?
To obtain a B visa (visitors visa ) you have to show strong family ties to home country, also other strong ties.
Sec 213 of the INA clearly states # every applicant shall be deened an immigrant until such times they prove to the consular officers satisfaction, they are not #
In other words guilty till proven innocent.
The American immigration system is killing the desire for familes to visit
Guess one day, when the bottom falls out of the market and too late, they will wake up
Then the American dream will truly be a nightmare.
USC will loose their jobs, homes and effect will be economic hell
Regards Sue
