Hi Tilly,
Try this, I googled memorising bones and it came up with this :
Visualize – Drawing out pictures and diagrams makes the information easier to recall by visualizing the drawing while taking the test. When memorizing the names of bones in the body, draw a human skeleton and label the bones. During the test, visualize the skeleton and you will be able to remember the names.
Good Luck!

You're very welcome Sheila!
Don't laugh, Tilly has got me thinking and I am sitting here having just drawn a rudimentary skeleton and am trying to remember the names of the bones myself!!
Haven't got very far.......:D

While there are different methods of studying, and different people will have their own approach to things, Tilly, only hard work and revision will be the most effective solution for you. I am afraid there are no short cuts.
For me, spending hours reading and memorizing was the only way to do well in tests and I quickly learned there are no better ways of doing it. With the bones test, whether it is reading diagrams, articles or both, it still ultimately means reading and memorizing.
Good luck!

Hi Tilly,
Teapots method of visualizing the skeleton is a good one - you can always remember photos and diagrams better than just words. Remember also that there are 206 bones altogether, and the way to differentiate the feet and hands is tarsals and metatarsals are in the feet (t) and carpals and metacarpals are in the hands. Hope that helps? Or have I just confused you? Good luck in the test.

Hi
Hannah Montana sang a song in one of her shows. This is how she remembered them all.
You might be able to get the words off her site or maybe a Disney site.
Hope this helps

I dont know if this will help as your problem is a little more substantial than the one I had to solve.
When I was in University studying for my Engineering degree we had to remember the ways metal can fail. I wrote out all the ways then I took the first letter of each and made an acronym for it. Here is my example. Codpiece Duff Gils....sticks in my mind even now and it stands for.
Crevice
Oxygen con. cell
Dezincification
Pitting
Intergranular
Errosion
Cavitation
Exfoliation
Dealloying
Uniform
Filliform
Fretting
Galvanic
Impingement
Leaching
Stress
Why does it always end in stress????
Hope this helps
Have a day
Chris
