Only goes to prove if they give Americans a living wages...they don't need illegals...
The old 'Americans will not do the work' does not wash with me...because Americans do all the jobs illegals do up here on the Cape...pick crops...clean hotels....bus boys..fast food...build homes...build roads...gardening...etc...
They say you'll pay $5 for a cabbage.......well you try selling them for that....people will not pay you'll go broke...people will find a way to lower costs....did you know that they bring oranges from CA to the East coast because they can charge so much more for them after they bump up the delivery costs....they then send FL oranges to CA for the same reason...Oranges would be half the price if they stayed on the coast they were grown in...
I have friends from South America...they are all here legal...it was a long wait...they are away from their famlies...its very unfair that people feel they have a right to just walk into a country...and its also wrong that a few people are getting rich because of it...using illegals and letting them live like animals....

Hi
At the end of the day these people are breaking the law and if the law in not enforced then makes a mockery of the current system
The ilegals want human rights !
Copied from article ;
"These people might not have American rights, but they've damn sure got human rights," Robinson said. "There ain't no reason to treat them like animals."
When thats is exactly like many of us legals are treated, in fact in some legals are being treat worse than animals
I say, you do the crime, you pay the time

I agree but how much wage do the orange pickers get ? Bet is not even min wage.
I am not saying support illegals or anything like that but the American's would not want to do this work
I say get the criminals out of their nice clean air con cells and get them to do the work nobody wants to do
Hard labour would do them the world of good

Americans will do any work..saying they will not..that is just a lie put around by people who are rich and want to pay a low wage....I see Americans do all sorts of jobs here because we have no illegals....
If we had no illegals problem...Americans would take the jobs at a higher rate....sometimes as little as $1 an hour more....price may go up for a while ...then drop when no-one buys at the higher cost...America is not a country where if you hit on hard times you can just sit on the dole...you have to work....so I will never buy into the LIE that Americans will not do the jobs illegals do....just taking a road trip up the coast from FL to MA will show you what a lie that is....

The whole issue is far too complex to just say" Only goes to prove if they give Americans a living wages...they don't need illegals..."
We do need the illegals but not as they will accept low working wages. We need them as there is so much available work.In the land of opportunity there are too few workers to handle it all. The country is virtually empty and there is room for hundreds of millions more people.According to ABC News - 20 / 20 show" Lies and Modern Myths " that while the cities are crowded 95 % of American land is void of any population. You see that as you drive all over the place.I see that even here in Florida.Within ten minutes of my home I can be at the 100,000 acre Disney Wilderness with hardly a sign of life. People love to cluster and that is a fact of life worldwide.
What we need is Immigration Reform so the best from all nations can be welcomed here to enjoy life in the land of plenty. In other words, the very immigration policies that opened America to millions of immigrants from the time of independance through to WW2. One thing is plain.Open the doors too wide and you will drain the best people from many countries like Canada and the UK.I've always said that in private that I'd bet good money that between the UK's Tony Blair and Canada's Harper there is a quiet and unspoken agrrement with the USA to make sure it is not too easy to immigrate here. Imagine if that happened ? The UK would virtually collapse from the hordes of people trying to get out.Canada's 30 milion would literally abandon that place.
In conclusion: America does need to illegals as there is so much work to do.The legal doors to get in here are clogged with rules and regulations making it too hard to move here .Even if your lifestyle is clean, hard working and you haven't got something you are escaping from in your own history. Once the politicians find that balance the need for illegals will disappear.

America does not need illegals...it needs a living wage ....then if jobs are still unfilled...they could look at bringing in workers from other countries on temp visa's...which is what a lot of South Americans want anyway....
The only reason companies want illegals is to pay low wages...and they tell you that all the time....where you have no illegals...Americans do the work at a fair rate...I've seen the difference in wages this last year on Cape where fewer summer visa's were handed out...and the illegals we had here all left when they could find no-one to take them on...we were all told we'd have no staff in the shops and fast food...it would be a nightmare...was it...no we had collage and school kids taking the jobs...more second job openings for family members so they could afford to move out of hotels...and have real homes...
I don't care where people come from...if they are in a country legal..and speak fairly good English....I don't see the land of plenty much...I see a lot of poor Americans trying to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads...working 2 jobs each and having their older kids work to help out the family while still in High School....I live near a very poor part of the Cape...and life there is hard...harder than anything I've seen in England...and I was dirt poor in the UK when I was young....nothing is needed in the USA that could drive down wages....
