Educate me. If I wanted to tout my book around the internet, aimed mainly at the USA market, what links would I use. I had an idea of sending it to Charlize Theron who is a citizen of the fair town in which I reside in SA. but I doubt she would be interested.Do I need to put it on a disc or download it to some cyberspace holding tank; skim it, scan it, send it by snail mail or electronically? Inform me please, while bearing in mind I am of the slide-rule generation and am only partially computer literate and totally dumb when it comes to the web.

Perhaps a blog or a website would give you the flexibility to put your book out there for anyone to read in the US or anywhere else, however getting your message out as to where they could find it, might be more difficult.

Do you think there is widespread American interest in the apartheid era? What standpoint does your book take (pro, anti?) A Brit looking in or a Brit re-shaped as a new Saffer?

I doubt it, her mother shot Charlize's father to death in this fair town. Website is good, how do I load written book onto same? Told you I am web illiterate. Not much interest in apartheid per se but the funnies might resonate - it was a VERY funny time. My standpoint is of an expat who went to a country as different from normal life as Mars is to Earth and viewed it with eyes unclouded by axe grinding.

Creating a new website is relatively easy using one of the many online templates available, then uploading your text to that site takes just minutes (assuming that the book is in some kind of computer document).

However it may just be easier for you to find a young person with website capabilities who could do this for you.

I just had a look online...there is a fair bit of info about putting books online...

Is it published and do you just want to give people the first few pages...or are you planning to show the whole book...
I don't know a lot about it...so can't really help...but it sounds interesting...

Where is the info about putting books online? This is the kind of info I am looking for. The book was published in 1994.
