There has been great debate over the years whether the US ever did put anyone onto the Moon back in the late '60's ! It could just be the greatest conspiracy ever - pulled on the world at large - not just America.

Now didn't NASA just recently announce that they seem to have just 'lost' the original film of the landing ? How convenient to avoid any more close scrutiny of those shots of the stars and stripes 'fluttering' on the surface of a windless moon !

I was going to draw your attention to the fact that "Capricorn One" a film which was made soon after the moon-shot of how such a situation just could have been faked in a film studio, on a lunar landscape, in the middle of a desert in Nevada was shown again on UK TV recently.

But then I thought "naah - they'll just say its that old cynical, unAmerican Pete, blabbing off again !" :)

No Mark, I don't believe it any more either. They may have got around the moon and returned - but I don't believe that they ever landed on it ! It was just one great con ! Of course, I do believe all of the other space stuff, the shuttles, the international space centre - which I have seen with my own eyes.

But Moon Landings ? Hoh hum ! ;)

isn't that we live near the mouse house? constant electricity, entertainment, food, water, a/c, and showers following hurricanes, flood and any puff of wind over 15 miles an hour. while the noise is aweful Disney Quest works well for all of the above PLUS free internet (and massive electronic baby sitting/teen minding for those who need it) Hope your reconnected

Hi

If the national grid can cope with demand, why the heck can't Progress Energy?

I cannot understand why they don't bury the cables. It may cost more to begin with but sure would save money in the long run

I mus admit im amazed how behind the USA seem to be regarding things like this, Florida=Hurricanes, surely thats enough to encourage them to bury the cables instead of having them hanging across the road....and dont get me started on the stupid traffic lights!!!!! hahahahaha

Hi

My family and I came to Florida Christmas 89 and was so cold. There were iceicles on the Orange groves and even a few drops of snow

The electric was on, then off and then on again on Christmas Day. The turkey took so many hours in the end I did not fancy eating it

Only brought t-shirts and shorts and spent our entire holiday money on warm clothes

Just found this on the news sites today. Take a look at the flag - and how close the the 'distant horizon' seems to be !

The flag is 'fluttering' on this windless Moon !

Just like a James Bond set !

We were all so naive back then - we would believe anything they fed us !

A sound engineer has unraveled the tape of the famous remark by Armstrong at the time "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind"

He's saying that there's a missing "a" ...and that Armstrong has also been quoted over the years as saying that he said "one small step for "a" man. Which kind of makes more sense when you think about it.

Anyway, if you could land on the moon so easily back in the late 60's then, almost 40 years later, don't you think Richard Branson would be living there, and selling business economy return tickets to anyone who'd have them?

He could sell day excursions to visit Elvis and Princess Di, and anyone else ridiculously reported as living there over the years!! ha ha ha

I don't think they put a man on the moon. My friend From Ukraine argued black and blue with me that the Russians were first.
