This article copied from the BBC online today highlights the power that the young voters in the US now hold. As the internet generation, online networking, etc, etc are second nature to them and they are clearly mobilised. Interestingly amongst the issues they are clued up about and concerned about is Immigration. I think you will find that for them it is more about assimilating immigrants than establishing barriers.
I think it would be beneficial for the ageing out issue if these your voters were made aware of what happens to kids of their own group and how they are treated compared to them.

Yes, but the point is that US Politicians take note of voters. These young people ARE the voters. Young voters tend to be more idealistic, B&W, call it what you will, then older voters and will tend to be more vocal and active. That is why the clued up politicians are waking up to this generation. This group of young voters are more likely to be supportive of aging out changes than older voters, because they can relate to our kids and they don't view immigration in quite the same way as the older voter.
I think we have to get the message to voters about the aging out problem, but focus on the group that is most likely to support our cause. I think that will be the young US voter. The older ones will tend to be more cynical, dyed in the wool about all aspects of immigration.
Maybe this is where the EV idea of the video could be used to advantage.

I think it would be good too but only if they are older children say 18 and older as they understand what is going to happen to them. They should be mature enough to take part with their parents consent. I do worry about some nutters who surf the net though and whether they would find out where our children live

Sharon,
I think you need to read the original article, not just peoples posts. The article is about young US Voters. By default that's people aged 18+.
