Hi

I would like to thank all for joining Mr LaVigne and myself in the chat room tonight

It was rather difficult sitting next to Mr LaVigne, trying to help him and moderate at the same time. We were sharing the same computer but we were supposed to have our own computer each. The next chat I will be on my computer only and be more involved in the moderating.

Mr LaVigne is a member of AILA and has been practising immigration law for 30 years. He has asked me to say sorry if he missed anyones question. He has offered for anyone whos question got missed or if you need further clarfication on your question to call him tomorrow at his office 407 316 9988 free of charge.

The chat got a bit busy and was difficult for me to juggle, read postings, moderate and help Mr Lavigne. I will think about ways of improving the next online chat with attorney.

Hi

I think I heard a couple of interesting points as follows

I asked the question, could a child of E visa parents buy into that business and the answer was yes. So If your 21year old will age out, and not bright enough to go to UNI, then maybe that is an alternative way for them to remain in status

Ref Bobby question concurrently filing I 140 and I 485

Mr LaVigne replied that it is better not to do this although it is possbile. The reason is that too many mistakes are made by the USCIS, so a compact, simple I 140 application is better than filing two applications that make a huge file.

The USCIS, get two files, one small (I 140 only) one huge I 140 and I 485 applicatiuon) , it is more likely the small file gets worked on and the bigger file left for another day.

There is also more chance of paperwork becoming separated if two applications in one
