It seems really odd to think that now I live with bad storms about 4 months of the year..not counting storm season...40/50 mile an hour winds can last for days here with gusts up to 80 miles an hour...and most of the storms never reach the news...
I've lived by the sea a lot of my life in the UK and really bad stormy weather was uncommon...so were really cold days...
Justa bit of wind and rain, whats up with em? Brits we are always complaining about the weather.:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Actually you lot the last couple of days have been beautiful in this part of the country - know other parts have suffered (especially up North) but the sky has been a brilliant blue and yes, cold, but as you say Susie if you wrap up against it then it is really nice. We took a walk yesterday along the front and it was very "bracing" and very enjoyable - I must admit even though I loved the Florida weather November thru March probably, I did not enjoy the summer months!

I hate the summer months in the USA even up here in MA Annie...its hot and sticky the only thing we don't have is a lot of rain...it can go months here without any in the summer..but what good is that when its so humid you can't walk to the mailbox and back without needing a shower...I miss English summertimes...

At least I will experience it again this year!! Must admit I used to miss pottering in my garden whilst there, I used to do it but ended up like a wet dishcloth! Having said that I will have to content myself doing my kids gardens as I don't have one here, unfortunately grass doesn't grow on a balcony but Jayne if you are reading this then I will have to content myself with cleaning up gull poop ha ha!!!

I really detest rain, nothing worse than feeling like a drowned rat. Plus my hair goes frizzy and takes hours to straighten !
God, why live in the sunshine state I ask myself, cos it always rains or humid either way the tongs have to show their faces
