Hello

Great forum and glad you understand our problems

Just joined and put my details in the intro section

It is such a worry, not knowing what will become of our children when they reach 21 years old. We were aware that she may have to get a different visa when she reached 21 but thought it would be easy, but now we have our doubts

My daughter was 14 years old when we arrived but now she is 16 even she is worried what will happen to her when she becomes 21

Do you think E visa holders will ever have the right to stay in the USA without the fear of having to return home?

The only way to stay is to convert to F1 student status and that quintuples the college fees that you will pay as a resident. And then there is the issue of getting an H1b or labor certification after graduation. Or you could buy her a business but to my mind this just perpetuates the problem and seriously restricts a childs choices in life. The Dream Act wont help her as she wont have been here for 5 years before enactment. There is always marry a yank, how many times have I heard that re my son??

Hi Sharon and Julie

Yes this is a problem with the dream act in Shaon's case only two of her children would possibley benefit from this act (if Passed) and why we need to petition to include any child right up to the day before their 21st, irrespective of how many years education or how long they have been in the USA

Or what visa (if any) their parents came to the USA on
