One of the annoying teething problems I have found is that I am having terrible trouble getting a social security number and work autho

It has been eight months and I am still having problems. One of which is they say they cannot read the details on my marriage certificate.

Does anyone know of any websites or telephone numbers I can call so I can chase them up or to find out what the problem is ?

I am having the same problem with my marriage lines and my son is as well with his birth certificate also on EAD application!! They say they cant read them, well they are in joined up writing arnt they and that is the way the Registrars do them in the |UK, they hand write them so we have to presume the officers in Texas have a real problem with reading joined up writing. Or perhaps we have managed to get the same officer. Actually a trained monkey could read my sons birth certificate, everyone I have shown it to, English or American, can read it. Apart from the one officer. My attorney has typed all the information out and done an affidavit saying that this is what it says and has resubmitted, another six weeks in and counting. What else can we do???? Send in the originals which they will doubtless lose and still may say they cannot read.?? If we go for copies from the UK, then we will just get some other Registrars joined up hand writing. Another one for Dave Weldon perhaps, we are paying good money for these and half of my year has gone already, $175 wasnt it???

why do they have to see marriage lines I have just had to go and have my finger prints and photo done at the office in tampa and they said I should received my work authorization card in 30to 90 days did you have to go there if so how long did you wait before you heared back from them

My advice when dealing with this office is to register everything otherwise they say they lose it !! I ended up with 2 applications one denied the other granted !
