E2 Processing Times

On the updated London embassy page for the E2

the wording that used to say that processing took 120 days has gone. It now says 'Current review time for each case is 60 days.' Has anyone had an interview in the last few weeks? How long did you have to wait?

Even though they say this, it is not always the case. They may well have speed ed the process up but if they have further questions (called a referral) the processing time can be much longer

We sumbitted or E2 application at end of Nov, still haven't had an interview date, our attorney said we should hear in the next 4-6 weeks and interview could be another 4-6 weeks after that! :(

I agree Sue, they can print what they like - doesnt mean they'll achieve it...or stick to it :( , I dont know of anyone getting to interview this quick...but I hope they do achieve this.

Also I have known of case files getting lost in the system too! and the applicants have had to refile !

Hopefully in the majority of cases the process is carried out in a timely manor. It does seem there is a good chance that most first time applications do go through, it is the renewal process that sucks

That said according to my sources there are more and more 5 year renewals being approved lately so maybe the American embassy has had a change of heart
