Hmm interesting, maybe she did have something to do with it? The mind boggles as it is funny how the press seem to get hold of sensitive stories

Then why did she allow Andrew to go to war in the Falklands doing an extremely dangerous job: flying a helicopter behind a capital ship to act as a decoy for the exocet missiles?

I think its brilliant that he has gone to fight for his country, just as Prince Andrew did in the Falklands,he wanted to go and wasnt forced,I think that says a lot about him ,I say good luck to him and all the other soldiers fighting out there, god speed to them all,and may they all come home safe and well.

...or perhaps he's on the front line because of his resemblence to a certain redheaded scoundrel! Conspiracy theory rules!

Sorry guys, could not resist posting after speaking to Dee re Harry actually doing a job he has been trained for. He has actually been in Afghanistan since before Christmas and it was meant to be "under wraps" but guess who leaked it and it WASN'T the Queen!!! No prizes for guessing - it was AMERICA!!! Bet they are so proud, he is now being pulled from a job he loved doing because of the risk to him and his colleagues - not only do they shoot us down they now risk the life of a future King and his colleagues. Well done America!!

to be the first to have "the news breaking story" thats why! They want to be first with everything regardless of the outcome.

Yes, agree and a years military for all teenage boys and girls would teach them life long lessons, not that I would like to have seen any of my boys off to war

Sorry Annie, it wasn't the American media that leaked the report! It was an Australian woman's magazine New Idea that leaked the info in January, then a German newspaper picked up the story. The Drudge report was the US entity that reported on the Austrlian magazine leaking it.

True, but those previous media leaks were not large enough for it to cause Prince Harry to return home as they are piddly little publications on the international scale and were published without evidence backing the story - not saying they were any more wrong the Drudge, it's just that the story clearly was not picked up in the same way. The MOD specifically blamed the "foreign media" for having to bring him home but the timing of that statement coincided with the Drudge publications so it doesn't take a genius to work all this out!
Drudge is a complete idiot in my view (as is Jon Snow who supported this publication on the basis of freedom of speech - and might I add hypocritically and spinelessly so, as he kept quiet about Prince Harry being in Afghanistan too). Drudge has an immense media audience but showed no responsibility. It was as a consequence of that report the Taliban sent out the word to seek out Prince Harry. Freedom of speech is a privilege which should not be abused to the point it puts our soldiers at risk and out people in jeapardy of their lives.
It was obvious Prince Harry was in Afghanistan as he has not been in the media since the original story of whether or not he should go was going on. Ultimately, good on Prince Harry.

Whatever happened to short back and sides hair cut?
Mind you Harry does look well and truely pxxxed off in the picture and looks more and more like a certain other red head
Just watched the clip and Harry does seem to becoming into his own and a mature young man. He did seemed disappointed at returning to the UK and who knows maybe he could go back if it was kept very quiet

From Major Smasher's link:
"Next month Prince Harry will be promoted to a full lieutenant after completing two years in the army and his salary will rise from £23,475 to £28,216."
A bit tragic to hear this all they get paid. Talk about rip off, especially when so much is being waster in other areas!

It makes me profoundly sad to see where our values are today in the 21st century.
A soldier putting everything on the line gets paid less than a quarter of most premiership players. DISGUSTING.
As for the comment on him being expendable because he is not 1st or 2nd in line. He is logically correct, but logically we could feed the homeless to the hungry and solve two large problems in one go. That idea is no less abhorent to me.

I agree, especially as I detest sport [ the pursuit of morons ]. Perhaps we could feed all the soccer players to the fans and rid ourselves of two sets of pests.
