Ok, so i got my appt with embassy thru, and a list of things they want me to take which are mostly stuff they already have and 2 updated docs! BUT they want me to take proof that my mum and step dad are legal residents of the USA, so photo copies of their GC....WHY? what the heck is it to do with my mum and s dad????
My s dad seems to think that once we prove they are GC i will be denied with intent?????????
any other theory's........preferably nicer ones with a happy ending????

Maybe its just to clarify that your not planning to use your investment visa to bring them in on the back of.

isn't your step-mum one of your employees - that would explain their interest in her. You have also been visiting them for long periods so perhaps they're just checking up that they're not here on expired VWPs?

If they have looked at your website then it does say your Mum co-owns the store with you. (i.e is NOT an employee)... I'm not having a go Emma honest, just wondered if maybe this could be another reason. Although I'm not sure what this has to do with her green card. Unless they think SHES in on an E2 and has s"wapped over" the business to you?

Considering the possible worst case scenario is often the only way to be prepared incase this is what they are questioning. Theories with happy endings are all very well - but we'd rather you had an actual happy ending and you will have to consider all options for this. I'm sure they do, do other checks on businesses than just read the information we send them, so make sure that your case is bullet proof :-)

My website builder type person is back from her jollies on Monday and will be making changes to my otherwise loverly website :) with that in mind.
Could be many things, my mum doesnt co-own, we just wanted a nice, family type picture setting for the store.......maybe we should have had whips and chains instead....lol

How many weeks was it before you heard and how did you hear (via VA, letter, email...? And what was the context of the communication?

We heard too (think it was 32 weeks, Emma heard before us, but actually applied a week or so later), appt shortly. Our VA got an email saying appt in one week reply within 48hrs to accept or decline. How many weeks are you?

Victoria is right, we were about 32 (ish) weeks, lost count in the end, we declined one interview which should have been wednesday and got 30th November now!!!!!!!!
