It is a joke,but I was just reading some of the comments on the article,and one guy said about building garages that actually fit cars in !!!!!as all the garages were built to pre war standards and sizes,ie not big enough to hold most of todays bigger model cars,so that is one answer ,however after having said that,in Manchester where our office was based in the UK,before we got the pub,it was twelve pounds PER DAYto park your car,and that was if you were prepared to walk miles once you were parked up,it used to drive me mad(pardon the pun)so by now charging people to park outside their own front doors,doesnt surprise me at all.

I'm not really a car fan and use the bus or walk...easy to do still on Cape...its a short walk to most things in the town...
You have always had to pay to park outside your house where my mum lived in the UK...and that was like 20 years ago when she moved in...you have to do the same in a lot of Boston...to many cars not enough street to park in...parking in the city can be $30 a half day....
