Paris (UPI) -- One of fugitive terrorism mastermind Osama bin Laden's children is having trouble getting a visa allowing him into Britain, the son's English wife says.
Zaina al Sabah bin Laden, 52, the former Jane Felixe-Browne, told GMTV Omar bin Laden, 26, applied for a visa in December and has not received any response. She says they intend to appeal to the European Court of Human Rights.
'We think 99 percent that it is going to be a refusal though there has been no official letter,' she said in an interview from Paris.
The couple married last year after meeting at the Pyramids in Egypt. Zaina bin Laden, who is from Moulton, Cheshire, has been married and divorced several times.
She said they have already retained an immigration lawyer and been in touch with a member of the European Parliament.
Omar bin Laden says he left Afghanistan in 2000 and has not seen his father since. He is one of 19 children Osama bin Laden has fathered with four wives.

I am going to controversially disagree with all the posts put here so far. Unless he has personally been involved in activity related to these crimes, he should not be unfairly prejudiced just because of who is father is.
They say the apple does not fall far from the tree, but it's not something that is always the case. Now, I don't know this bloke's history but have seen a documentary on this couple and it seems his past has not uncovered any issue. With that in mind I think he should be treated fairly. Should he receive or be denied the visa, I would hope it's on proper legal grounds rather than on some bias of whom his father his, particularly as the claim (and I used the work "claim" as I don't know whether this is true as a matter of fact) that he has had absolutely no relation with his Father who has "apparently" disowned him for being too western.

Yes, fair point. We should never assume and everyone should be treated the same. But I still feel the UK does need to tighten up on immigration otherwise our country will go bust
It is very sad that Dustin is born and bred in the UK and was about to become homeless due to Mr Hall and when he went to the council they told him he had no chance of a council home and asylum seekers take preference, something wrong there in my book

Munish,I respect your opinion as always.
But this Guy (age 26) seems to have "married" this woman twice his age to gain a visa so he can live in the Uk.
Why does he want to live in the Uk???? why not somewhere else in Europe???
This woman has been married a number of times ??? which rings alarm bells to me also.
I know you stated that he has no contact with his Father, but I always think "blood is thicker than water".
I honestly dont think he should be allowed a visa to live in the Uk.

Yes, but those are issues for immigration to consider, none of which relate to who his Father is.

Yes, again, that is a separate issue.

maybe a separate issue but there is a connection and are related are they not, one problem results in another  either way tighter controls should have been brought in years ago

i am sorry to say but this is the main reason for us wanting to leave the UK in the first place! Very unfair paid such a lot into the UK and offerd nothing back? In a time of real need we have been let down!
We have 6 days for me to find a place to live or am told we could end up in a hostel!! what is that all about?

Hello Dustin
I can see what you are saying, you have 6 days to find a place to live or told you could end up in a hostel!! what is that all about? .....thats all about a shortage of council houses, there are people who have lived in the uk all there life and cant even get on the housing list, you have to find private rented place. due to the immigrants getting priority when it comes to getting housed,
how have you ended up with 6 days to find a place to live, I dont quite understand how you have got yourselve in that position, if you was given notice to quit where you are living you would of got at least 3 months notice.

you say blood is thicker than water, yet Bin laden has stated in puiblic he has disowned his family due to conflicting opinions, and lets face it when religion is involved these people are true to their word

Dustin did post a while ago about having to move out, I guess he is just counting down.
Dustin, can you not go back to the show producers and tell them what the latest situation is and maybe the newspapers and embarras the local council into something? Are you under lewes district council or is it different where you are?

there is no way he should be condemed for who his father is but it is time for the uk to step up and closed the doors or at least pull them to a bit, thats the crux of the matter
