Hi everyone. I am back home in the US now. Thankyou to everyone for their help and kind words whilst in the UK. My sister passed away to cancer last Wednesday but thank god this time I was there to say my goodbyes.
We went for our interview at London Embassy and it really was easy. The guy was very funny made loads of jokes and just asked if everything was the same as before. We paid for the visas and they arrived at my home in the UK 2 days later. We flew back in through Sanford airport and once again this was very easy, the guy we saw was pleasant and had a laugh with our son.
I hope you all experience this when you visit to get your visas. We now have a 2 year renewal visa in our passports for the L1.
Glad to be back, family all coming for christmas so looking forward now.
love Lorraine

Welcome home Lorraine !
I am so pleased the visa interview was sucessful and the immigration officer was a reasonable human being not just a robot with a straight face.
My heart goes out to you all on the sad passing of your sister. Did your mum come back with you?

Hi thankyou all for your kind words they really mean a lot. My mum and other sister are coming for christmas so I really looking forward to that. Yes Mark we shall be going for our green card soon as our son is 13 and we want to make sure that he is safe. Thankyou to all of you for your help in getting me back home. As you know my grandfather died in August and I was unable to get back due to the renewal stuck at Vermont, this time Susie and others helped and I got the renewal through just in time to get back and spend a week with my baby sister before she passed. I hope to meet you all soon Love Lorrainexx

So very sorry about your younger sister. I can't imagine how awful that must be. But so pleased that you got to see her at the end.
Delighted that your visa process was such a breeze - good luck with your Green Card

Hi Em thankyou so much I would have loved to come, but we allready have a ball to go to with our neighbour which was arranged last year. My son is gutted as he would obviously rather come to the firework night. Hope to see you all soon. Good luck with all your visa issues, fingers crossed for you. Take care Lorrainex
