Need to update for Embassy, originally put "not presently employed" as was the case when the application went in. VA, in whom I have no faith whatsoever, said we could put 'president' of Co as has been in the UK for 6 mos now & has office there (but not paid). It's a US company, no contract of employment with Co, just a start up. Not sure I agree. been there done thats, what did you put?

HI Victoria I put on my form Director of UK company and president of US even though at the time we had not opened the US company all we had done is purchased an LLC company name. They dont check out the UK company although I am the Director of that one. For my husband as the L1 is in my name I put my Hubby as retired..... (He laughs and says I wish) Good luckx

thanks Lorraine - did they question you about your role? My concern is that the company was going whilst hubbie was in the US - he wasn't working for it - just his employees - since he left for the UK he's been involved but certainly not paid etc Want to ensure that they don't think he was holding himself out or being an employee while he was in the US....

I also put Director of my UK company.

I wasn't asked about my role even though the company in the US was trading and I had visited the US every month to attend meetings - I was very careful not to do anything that would have constitued 'work' as such and made that clear in the one page business plan update I took.

We haven't been asked for an updated business plan - no idea if that's good or bad...
