View Full Version : Should I stay or shoudl I go? ITV documentary Series

No Place Like Home

ITV is offering homesick British ex-pats the chance to come home!

Every year more and more Brits are giving up their life in the sun to move back to the UK – last year more than 80,000 expats came home.

The decision to go home however is a tough one and can be a huge ongoing dilemma for the whole family.
To investigate this phenomenon, ITV1 is making a second series of the day-time documentary ‘No Place Like home?’

Families who take part will get the chance to be flown back to Britain to test-drive the reality of life there. It’s an opportunity to fact-find, and equip themselves to make an informed choice - to remain an expat or realise it’s time to come back home.

If anyone is interested in taking part or knows someone who may be suitable, please email:

Hello Jenny and a very warm Welcome to our site.

I do feel this is a subject that many members are thinking through at this moment in time, I know I have. I hope someone takes you up onyour offer. They may prefer to send you a private message , so please look out for that.

The visa renewal system is a nightmare. Applicants have to wait months for a decision and then have to fly 4500 miles all for an interview that lasts a few minutes.

Applicants have to take their children out of school, let their business run itself for a week minimum, put pets in kennels, and for a family of 4, this could amount to around 10,000 usd, especially if accomodation needs to be found.

Please let us know if we can assist with another type of program subject matter

Has there been any response?? If not then I'm very surprised considering all the moaning lately that she hasn't been swamped with names.

The programme are only interested in people who have the right to stay in the USA with no strings (i.e. LPR) We contacted her but as we're on a temporary visa and we'd already decided to go back they weren't interested

is it just me or has anyone else noticed that Unmaply09's posts seem to have nothing to do at all with the threads they're attached to? Just wondering if EPV is being used for some encoded covert message posting by a radical group :-) LOL!
