Thanx for sharing.

I must admit... I have been to Canada a few times, found it a lovely place and have even contemplated emigrating there before, especially given the US' anti-immigrant attitude. I'm contemplating it less now, which is a shame.

wow and we complain!I know my situation is different to most of the folks on this forum and for that I'm thankful .To be honest if we didnt have our green cards then I'm not so sure that we would have undertaken the international move again.In the end its difficult and until you have passed the point of no return does it really kick in ,with the best will in the world you will never cover all the what if's but we all make the best of it and on a positive note because that we HAVE to be it does and will work out! (INS depending)Good luck to all you on E2 etc

we thought of canada too!!!!! Looks like Oz may have been our best bet tbh! I think the USA (well this area of florida) has a higher cost of living than people think! when you come on hols its cheap, spending the GBPound against the USDollar works well in the brits favour. But things like property taxes etc are not known to the average Brit, house prices and car costs look low but its the hidden stuff that hurts.
I think Car ins is far too high over here (but they do drive like nutters) we pay 45gbp per month for both me and Husband to be fully comp on 2 cars with a 100gbp excess!!!!!!!! Now thats Cheap!

BUT.............Its lovely and warm!

Do you know so many people leave OZ within months to go back to the UK its unreal....

They can't get a license to do their trade...they don't earn enough money..no jobs....homesick...and rude Ozzies....
