I am looking at Translation Devices as 95% of our customers are spanish (they are nice customers to have) however most of them dont speak english and if our staff are not at work it makes it almost impossible for us to communicate with them. I have seen so many different devices costing anything from 100 to 600 dollars. Has anyone tried any of them. I was looking at the Ectaco, has anyone got this device, does it work.

Any info greatly appreciated.

:) kind regards Lorraine

Yes we have bought rosetta stone, but will take long time before we can speak it and understand it.

Our problem is we have to write contracts with our customers as we lease to own furniture to them. Once the contract is written we have to explain it all to them before they sign. Our staff are spanish so normally not a problem. However on the occasion that we have to explain it is not good, we thought maybe a translation device where we could speak the words to it and then it translates it into spanish would be fantastic, just dont know if it is that easy with the devices I have found.

My hubby is fluent in all languages!!!! He speaks louder with an accent and most of the words finish in "o" i.e. me-o go-o overthere-o

Maybe you need more spanish speakers...so you are never without one...its not like they are hard to find...:)
I think rosetta stone is very over priced...maybe you could give English lessons to Spanish speakers and they could teach you at the same time....
