....at $95 plus $10 handling and $1 convenience (+ tax)

I kinda wanted to go see him, but when I went on to Ticketmaster to buy I could only get section 109 Row H and I watched Neil Diamond from there. He might as well have still been in Los Angeles. I couldn't hear him either. I think they turn the sound down for the geriatrics!! lol You'd think it'd be the other way around. Probably don't want to startle anyone of Neil's age, in case the keel over with a heart attack.

Not going. He's a big Scottish poof anyway! ;)

OK. So I've bid on some tickets to try to get in the front row. We should make it a social event.
Here's the link:

Good luck,

You don't go to concerts then Emma?

There's nothing better than meeting up with a load of friends Downtown. Hit a nice restaurant then head over to TD Waterhouse and spend a few hours watching whoever is on. It's a great night out.

I'm not a big fan of Rod, but I've got a bid at Ticketmaster for $400 right now for 2 tickets at the front. I'll give them to the wife for Christmas and she can tell me she doesn't like him much either! ...and that will be that.
We paid $210 per ticket to go see the Dixie Chicks and she hates them. Luckily the gig got canceled, so we got the money back. They cheated us into the 2nd row. You gotta watch these auctions. The fine print means that they can basically put you anywhere. We were in the front row 15 minutes before the auction ended and I had to leave the house. Came back and I'd bought those tickets that everyone else only paid $150 for.
Chance you take.
OK ...who's coming to see Rod with us?????????

We went to see Rod Stewart when he was at TD Waterhouse in February 2005. It was one of the best concerts that we have ever been to, and he was on stage for nearly 3 hours and everyone spent most of the evening dancing and singing along!

I was waiting for 10am last Saturday for the online tickets to open. This time the stage is in the "round", and we managed to get excellent seats. Yes, they were $95 but if last time is anything to go by, well worth it.

My bidding at the auction is not going too well and we're going further and further back. I think for $400+ if I'm somewhere near the front then that will do. I can still take my binoculars! ....not that I want to look at his ugly 60 year old mug, ...but he always has young dancers!! ;)

Do you own a mac by any chance Bobby????

Bobby

Court says I'm not allowed to own one any more. Not even if there's a blizzard.

Most I can have is a heavy anorak, and it must be fully zipped or buttoned before I leave any building.

There's just no fun any more.

Hi Bobby,

Yeah, we're going. We won tickets on E-Bay, only a couple of minutes left and we outbid somebody else, was that you?!! We've seen him loads of times and thoroughly enjoy, okay so we're showing our age, but what the heck. Will I recognise you in your mac, what colour is it? Will you wear a carnation in your buttonhole just to make sure!

I did just reply but it didn't seem to get on the post, so will try again!

Yeah, we're going to the concert, won tickets on E-Bay - outbid somebody in the last minute, was that you Bobby, if it was sorry but we're happy. Have seen him in England and here and it's a really great night out - good to let your hair down and forget your cares and woes with Immigration!!

Totally agree with you Joanie, perhaps it shows our age, but who cares!!

At least you get a hood with an anorak Bobby! I used to warn my kids about men like you!!!! I hope this concert is as good as last years. I also really enjoyed the American Songbook section - now does that make me really old Annie????

OK. Just to update. The Ticketmaster auction ended and we won tickets in the front row of one of the 6 sections surrounding the circular stage. So, we'll be there, (barring accidents etc.)

Hope to meet some of you there (or before?). We should meet Downtown for a drink or dinner beforehand. That's what we'd normally do.
PM me if you're interested and we can get it together.

Bobby

Hi Bobby,

How many of you going, we usually go for a meal beforehand - where are you sitting and will you be wearing a carnation so I know you?
