Hi there - just had an em from the UKk and thought that this would also be a good way of communicating the info - so please pass it onto anyone in the UK

The scam starts with a card being posted through your door from a company called "P S D " (Parcell Delivery Services) suggesting that they were unable to deliver a parcel and that you need to call them on 0906 6611911 (a premium rate number) DO NOT CALL THEM - this number is part of a mail scam orginating from Belize. If you call this number by the time you hear the recorded message you would have been charged £15 and counting for the phone call - please pass this on many regards don

Thread moved to European residents (as it is a UK specific issue).

Thanks for the timely reminder though. I heard about this going on a little while back. Its a shame its still going on.

Moral is, never call a 09* number at all, especially if its an unsolicited parcel. If you get a lot (if you're an ebay seller/buyer) and you get one you suspect might be fradulent, then you can try googling the company name.

Also, some of the fraudlent parcel notification forms list the good on the form, to try and tempt you to call up "We tried to deliver your new Xbox360, but you wern't in". A parcel delivery company will almost always never know what they are trying to ship.
