British Consul

We launched our new website, UKinUSA, today. Globally, every British Embassy and Consulate is adopting the new design and a similar website address so, wherever you are in the world, you will be able to find your nearest British diplomatic mission on-line.
Have a look around the new Orlando home-page by visiting www.UKinUSA.fco.gov.uk/orlando.
Our old website, britainusa.com, will divert to the new site for a few months.
I'd be interested to know what you think of the new look.
Thanks
Dean

Dean,
The new site is very good. For some reason if you do a search, the words you type in don't go in the box but on the page to the left. The search still works but you can't see what you're typing.
I have one more plea. It is a 'silent' website. Lots of information, but no audio. I think you are missing a trick here as far as I can see. As a Brit who is probably more patriotic overseas than when at home, I think the site should have a downloadable National Anthem.
You can find a downloadable US national anthem (they have about 3 or 4!?) on the internet, but you really struggle with the UK National Anthem. You can find versions done by joe public on his Casio organ in their back bedroom, but I'd like to be able to hear a good version done by one of our military bands - whom I think are probably the best in the world. If there is one thing Britain is best at it's ceremony and rich tradition. No-one else comes close.
My computer wont let me in. stupid computer.
Carl.

You can download a gazillion versions on itunes (but you need an ipod) Or buy yourself the last night of the Proms Cd on ebay for about 99 cents, put the kettle on spread the marmite thick and have a hearty sing along to God bless the Queen!
