Have been planning to come to Florida for some time - however circumstances changed and I had to put it off - now I am in a position to re-start applications however now my son who has turned 21 has changed his mind and now wants to come with us - this is obviously now a much bigger issue - I could probably choose EB5 or L1 or E2 - route to go down myself - but now I need a visa for him also - I can only assume I am now going to have to buy a business to get him an E2 visa too - he has always worked for me - also in a managerial capacity - however I understand his age and lack of formal qualifications would prohibit an L1 application. didnt want to buy or start 2 businesses - is there any way - if you buy a decent size family business this would qualify for both of us??? Hi Gwen

i'm pretty new to this, but i think that you can get the E2visa in your name and your sons, owning 50% each. Your spouse can accompany you and seek work.

Hi Gwen,

You route would be better to go L visa, this can lead to green card then citizenship

The first L visa will be given for one year, then you should renew and get 2 year renewal. Just before the Two year renewal then apply for green card.

Once you have held green card for five years you can become a USC and sponser son for green card ebentually

The quickest way for your son would be to purchase a business and get E visa

I would recommend you get E visa for son first, as this is a non immigrant visa.

Should you get L visa first, when son applies for E visa, it may well be denied, because, his parents will be in the USA on L visa and look as if he has immigrant intent

I do not think it is a good option for you to buy a buz 50-50, the reason I say this is because it is difficult to convert to E/ green card although it can be done
