Did anyone go?? Thought it was pretty poor. No fireworks and bonfire only lasted around 45 mins. We only stayed half an hour. Would have preferred to pay more and have a better night given we live an hours drive away.

We went. I'd agree that the planning was a little off. But remember it was their first go at this. They apologised for the fireworks. They need much more wood for the fire. Not usre what the $2 admission was really about, it was hit & miss whether you paid it - little control on that. Would have rather paid more and got some sparklers for the fee or at least something.
Anyway, at least they made an effort to organise it, and lets hope next year will be better.
Folks did come out to support it, which is a good start.

We went. Thought pretty much the same as you Julie. Not well organized, only 1 food concession, and not much information. No signs from the road saying where it was, or where to park. I almost ending up at the fishing weigh in!!
The worst thing was no fireworks!! How can it be Firework night with no fireworks?
Sorry Britsh-American chamber of commerce, but you will have to do much better next time to get people there. Luckily we bumped into some neighbours, so at least had some one to talk too!!!
However, I suppose it is the British way to turn up at these events, and not speak to anyone. Afaid to say not many people looked to friendly either.
Funniest thing said, was "This is the longest line I have had to wait in since being in the USA" During the 10-15 minute wait for a drink or hot dog.

We should all have worn badges or something so we recognised each other. It was dark though. There was another in Longwood apparently, I heard through the grapevine, wonder if that was any better?

Hi
Well billy no mates could not get a lift so turned into a pumpkin. I am sorry it was not as good as expected perhaps it may be a good idea to call them and let them know so next year will be better

The problem is I doubt anyone will bother going next year. They need to sort out the problem with the fireworks by sorting a location in which they can have them ( ie not near any horses which could drop dead of fright!!) and get the proper licenses and about three times the amount of wood!

On behalf of The British American Chamber of Commerce, we are thrilled that you all came out and supported our first Guy Fawkes Night. While we will certainly agree that there is a lot of room for improvement, there was a big learning curve doing this the first time. We have already begun planning for next year and will be having fire works. We hope that you will not only support us next year but invite you to join the planning committee by emailing info@britishamericanchamberorlando.com
If you will give us a “C” for our first effort, we will gladly take it! Let’s stick together and really build this to be great.
