Mine went down a thousand in FL...up $100 in MA but then house prices have not dropped in my area in MA...

We don't get that in FL...manybe if we did...we can...because I live down there nearly 6 months of the year now we would get another $1k off...

Homestead exemption doubles to $50,000 and we end up paying much more in property tax because the sneaky buggers simply raised the millage rate.

To make things worse, the property appraiser came (on his eight-year cycle) and added value because we have fish ponds - fish ponds that were added thirty years ago.

Obviously, UK Council Tax Rioters never got to emigrate...

How come ? Just call the property appraisers office to complain your house price has been reduced by $100,000

It seems that we have the only house in this economic crisis that has gone up $60,000 in value in a year with no improvements or adjustments to the house!!!! HHmmmmm I think a phone call is in order me thinks!

I would say so too...mine came in today..it was nearly $1k cheaper than last year
