The Employer pays the Attorney.

The Attorney acts for and in the best interests of the Employer.

In this case where there seems to be a big screw up it would be a good idea for the Employee to...

H1B is for 3 years and can be extended for 3 years. Then you need a year out.

Did their Employer file for their GC's if so what category were they in.

Have they a Lawyer of their own? My money...

From an Immigration perspective I can not make sense of the story.

Very few people go to Green Cards straight away, most would be on a H and L whilst they wait to be sponsored by their employer...

It is Deferred action, so at the date specified you have to be in a situation where an action could be made against you.

The market determines value, not Estate Agents.

If number two realised you only wanted top dollar and that was not going to happen perhaps he thought his time was better spent elsewhere.

I can not see any harm reporting them, just do not expect any action.

$100k and 2 part time employees is definitely marginal.

Hopefully you have a chunk of change in addition to move and live on initially.
